Australia will play New Zealand in the eighth game of the World Cup at the VCA in Nagpur on February 25. The two have not had a great time going into the tournament and there were many who had not even considered the two as favourites.

However, what will be interesting to see is that the two play against each other now and after their years of rivalry, it will be an interesting match-up. Australia had crushed New Zealand in the 2003 and the 2007 World Cup and the revenge is in offing.

New Zealand will need Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum to fire at the top.

Australia will need their batsmen to fire. Far too often the middle-order has been a major let-down and has not been able to get going with the bat. The likes of Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke have shown some form but with Cameron White and David Hussey struggling it is not a surprise that Australia hasn’t done well.
